Congratulations Seniors!
Your student and your family have reached the last year of high school, ending with your Graduation Ceremony in June.
- Use these pages throughout the year to help with the many decisions and plans you will make.
- Check back often for updates as events and plans take shape.
- As details for each calendar entry take shape, you’ll see a link appear. It will lead to specific information.
- Families also will receive email and text reminders. Students will receive instructions and messages through Senior Teams and school email.

Graduation Day is Set
- Wednesday, June 17, 2026
- Newport High School (graduates arrive midmorning, doors open for families about 90 minutes later)
- Alaska Airlines Arena at Hec Edmundson Pavilion,
- University of Washington, Seattle
- 3870 Montlake Blvd NE, Seattle, WA 98105
- Guests should plan on a 90-minute graduation ceremony.
- Each family will be provided 10 tickets per graduate. Children under 2 years of age do not require a ticket. Tickets will be distributed to graduates following completion of the mandatory graduation rehearsal in June.
- Look for parking and arrival information on the University of Washington webpages.
- BSD will comply with any safety and security requirements in place at the venue at the time of graduation.
- University of Washington uses many common restrictions on what materials can be brought to the Arena. Please check their webpages.
ALERT—All seniors participating in commencement will need 4 items:
Cap, Tassel, Gown, & Stole, purchase at Jostens.com. A Jostens representative will deliver these to seniors at school.
Instructions for students who earn honor cords and capes will be distributed in May. Families will make these optional purchases on Touchbase in May.
**Newport High School has a limited amount of gowns and caps for loan. If you are in need, please contact Wendy Woodard, Office Manager.

Each year our senior class officers create a video with multiple photos of EVERY student. We share this video during our graduation ceremony at the UW.
We rely on families to submit photos of their students.
