Congratulations Class of 2025!
Your student and your family have reached the last year of high school, ending with your Graduation Ceremony in June.
- Use these pages throughout the year to help with the many decisions and plans you will make.

- As details for each calendar entry take shape, you’ll see a blue link appear. It will lead to specific information.
- Families also will receive email and text reminders. Students will receive instructions and messages through Teams and school email.

Graduation Day is Set
- Wednesday, June 18, 2025
- 7:30 PM- Newport High School (graduates arrive @ 6:45 PM, doors open for families @7:00 PM)
- Alaska Airlines Arena at Hec Edmundson Pavilion,
- University of Washington, Seattle
- 3870 Montlake Blvd NE, Seattle, WA 98105
- Guests should plan on a 90-minute graduation ceremony.
- Information regarding tickets will be communicated directly to parents beginning February (generally 10-per graduate).
- Parking and arrival instructions will be communicated to families in advance through e-mail and BSD website updates.
- BSD will comply with any safety and security requirements in place at the venue at the time of graduation.
ALERT—All seniors participating in commencement will need 4 items:
Cap, Tassel, Gown, & Stole, available at Jostens.com
Newport High School will hold a senior class meeting on Nov 6, 2024 where printed information about orders will be distributed. After Nov 6, that information will be available in the Main Office at Newport.
**Newport High School has a limited amount of gowns and caps for loan. If you are in need, please contact Wendy Woodard, Office Manager.

Eligibility:
- AP Capes are reserved for grads who have earned AP Scholar awards from The College Board. Those eligible will have taken and passed at least three AP exams by the end of their junior year.
- Honor Cords are reserved for grads who have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher by the end of 1st semester for this school year (senior year).
