Club members can also participate in a regional individual events festival and attend the State Thespian Festival. Students can also receive a varsity letter in Drama each year and become an inducted member of the International Thespian Society. |

If you are interested in submitting for photography competitions, this club is a great place to receive feedback on your photos as well as information regarding both the competitions available and the submission processes. Also, we occasionally collaborate with other clubs to photograph events they host. Joining this club is an accessible way to gain real-world photography experience. |

Everyone is welcome regardless of gender identity and the primary work we do is focused on closing the gender gap in technology. No experience is required to join! |

Math Club is a space for everyone to have fun learning the art of mathematics. We talk about a range of topics, from applied mathematics to competition math and beyond. Math Club participates in multiple competitions each year, notably AMC10/12 and AIME. In addition, we host the annual Knights of Pi Math Tournament, a regional math tournament for middle schoolers. Students who need help with math homework/concepts may also come for additional support. |

Model United Nations simulates the United Nations regarding global current events and international relations. Our club attends four conferences apart of the larger MUN Northwest organization. Our club through these conferences provide students with the opportunity to participate in international politics, learn more about current events, exercise speaking skills, and collaborate and cooperate with students across the Northwest and Canada. Our club trains, prepares, and aids students to participate in these competitions and helps prepare them to staff the competitions, which is an opportunity to be apart of the organization, staff and help administer major competitions, and gain volunteer hours. |

Many multiracial students can connect with not feeling a sense of community at school. By identifying our commonalities as multi-race students we hope to expand the inclusivity at Newport by allowing students to have an outlet for self-exploration and going beyond just being labeled as “other”. |

NRG 948 is a First Robotics Competition (FRC) team operating under the FIRST Robotics Organization. No prior experience is needed to join the team! We train students in their chosen subgroup in the fall (Business, Marketing, Mechanical, CAD, Electrical Systems, or Programming) before we transition to building a robot for the competitive season spanning from January to March. There are plenty of opportunities for you to gain valuable STEM experience and career skills on our team. Furthermore, if you are not as technically inclined, we also have other opportunities to get involved, such as writing grants, designing merch, and networking with companies. |
