Why Tutorial Every Day?

Learn Study Skills

Every student should attend Tutorial every day. It's part of the school day.

Coach your student to accomplish these tasks during Tutorial:

  • Review notes and fill in any blanks or questions while the information is fresh. Even a few hours mean loss of your ability to remember course content. FIND HELP with Notetaking skills.
  • Review assignments and be sure you have what you need to complete everything even if it is not due the next day. Make notes of anything that needs follow-up. Ask your teacher or your classmates for what you need.
  • Return to classes where you have questions about the day's lecture and activity.  If you feel your questions can wait until the next class, at least make detailed notes of what you need.
  • Talk to teachers about how to make up any missing assignments, quizzes, etc.
  • Understand from your class OneNotes how each teacher expects you to use Tutorial.
