Use First Quarter Grades to Check In & Plan Growth

Use First Quarter Grades to Check In & Plan Growth

First quarter ends Oct 31 and your family can see teacher progress reports in ParentVue and StudentVue by Nov 8.

Yes, I said progress reports, NOT grades. While teachers post a letter grade, these posts DO NOT appear on student transcripts. Instead, we use this semester half-way point to let families know how students are doing so that you have a chance to help your student plan for growth before semester grades.

Your family can best use this report to help your student learn to set goals and build new habits that will help them grow. As a side effect, grades will improve as well.

Use the descriptions and links in our Guide to Success to find instructions that suit your student's grade and needs. If you don't find what you need, email our Family Engagement Coordinator for help. Links include goal setting skill building along with specific study skills and emotional skills as well.

If your student's first quarter grades seem satisfactory, you can still plan for growth

Don't forget that these grades reflect only your student's classroom assessments. Your student's success in career and adult life take more than the skills to learn. Our Guide to Success can help  your family plan four years of growth in all six categories your student will need. Help your student make plans for steady overall growth.
